Created with all the bells and whistles, Susan C is a beauty on and off the water. She’s a 38-foot Sport Cruiser designed and built for customers who wanted to be involved in all the details. Built from a single mahogany log she is unique in every way; from her glass windshield clad in laminated mahogany, her modified Stidd helm seating, an integrated swim platform that is a vital part of the custom fab stainless steel steering system, to custom electronics and instrument panel. Two fixed surface drives are hidden under the stern, spinning 5-blade Mercury Racing propellers.
The surface drives are linked to Yanmar 6LY-2ASTP turbo-diesels creating 440 hp each. The engines are custom painted and finished with chrome and will push Susan C up to 65 miles per hour, with effortless cruising at 45 miles per hour.
The interior trim is Honduran mahogany, held to the same curves throughout. Air conditioning is possible with an electric sun top that covers the seating. Internal and external showers, hot and cold pressure water, Vacu-Flush MSD, a 3.5 kw generator, a flat screen tv, microwave, and stereo give all the comforts.
With an 8-foot 6-inch beam and customized hydraulic trailer she’s a breeze to move around the country. But that’s a story for another time . . .
